The "session" (or seisun, in Irish) is a gathering of people for the purpose of experiencing traditional music... either singing, playing, or dancing. Our sessions are open sessions, and anyone who is interested is invited to attend. You can play an instrument, sing a song, tell a few jokes, or just sit and listen. Sessions are regularly scheduled several times each month. (See below for actual dates, times and driving directions for all sessions.) Click HERE for lists of the tunes that one would normally hear played at a typical ACMS session. This information is to assist new players when deciding which tunes to practice for session. To see the tunes contained in tunebooks normally used by ACMS players click here or here. All tunes are "traditional" and they are readily available on the Internet. One of the best online reference sites for Irish Traditional Music is http://www.thesession.org
